About the Artwork

Our client requested bright, eye-catching artwork for the registration areas at Siteman Cancer Center at Northwest HealthCare. The goal of the art was to give visitors a positive first impression and reflect the design theme, “The Power of Many.” St. Louis artist Jessica Hitchcock, locally nicknamed “St. Louis’s Queen of Color,” was commissioned to create two original paintings.

Hitchcock’s signature blend of eccentric color and imaginative style would support the whimsical and inviting atmosphere our client envisioned for the space. The energizing mix of colorful dots symbolizes the beauty of individuals joining together and supporting one another.

Canvas bags featuring Hitchcock’s artwork were handed out at the center’s groundbreaking ceremony so attendees could take a piece of her art home with them.
