David M. Sindelar Cancer Center

Our client wanted artwork showing the simple beauty of nature to reflect tranquility and hope for their patients’ healing process. Supporting the goal of maintaining a visually cohesive interior, various styles of nature photography are present throughout. The artwork helps promote a more calming atmosphere, lower patient anxiety levels, and increase emotional well-being while seamlessly complementing the building’s interior.

Throughout the waiting areas, photographic prints of landscapes welcome patients and visitors. The artwork serves as a distraction for those awaiting treatment or results and allows viewers to immerse into the foreground and background details of soothing scenery.

The corridors feature macro photography, providing unique, up-close images of easily recognizable plants and elements found in nature. Many pieces are located at the ends of hallways or bends in the facility to assist in wayfinding.

The natural maple framing coordinates with the furniture and interior finishes, maintaining a consistent and cohesive look throughout. The artwork complements the soothing color palette of the building’s interior, resulting in a comfortable, peaceful environment for all.
