Art Commissions in the Spotlight
SSM Health St. Joseph Hospital – Lake Saint Louis
About the Artwork
Our client envisioned colorful and unique original artwork that would echo the natural environment that surrounds SSM Health St. Joseph Hospital – Lake Saint Louis.
ARCH commissioned mixed media artist Priscilla Robinson to create three original painted works using her signature handmade paper. The pieces were framed using a deckled edge technique and mounted with spacers for a dimensional, floating effect.
The selection of colors and textures was designed to inspire a calm, serene feeling that reflects the patterns and movement of Lake Saint Louis, the body of water that gives the local community its name.
About the Artist
Mixed media artist Priscilla Robinson creates eye-catching wall sculptures and painted panels. She uses color and texture combined with unconventional materials to create unique art inspired by the delicate beauty of nature.
As part of her creative process, Robinson produces paper from plant fibers, which brings a natural component to her art. This process of incorporating elements from nature in her artwork perfectly aligns with our client’s goal of connecting the space to the natural environment.
